Allie broke both bones in her lower right arm. They convinced their Nana it was okay to stand on the couch and look out the window. Well, Allie turned around to talk to Nana and fell over the side arm of the couch and knocked over a plant. Although she cried for quite awhile there was no bruising or swelling. Rather than take her to the ER as it was evening we thought we would see how it was in the morning. We gave her some Tylenol and she slept fine. Thursday morning she woke up and still wouldn't move it. So the pediatrician was going to have us go to an orthopedic doctor to have to checked out. 2pm in Richmond (about 40 minutes away) was their first available. Allie never cried once that morning or during the x-rays or having her bone popped back into place or having her cast fitted. She was awesome! The girl has a very high pain tolerance. Looking back I should have realized that and taken her. She has had two ear infections and a UTI and we only knew because of the fevers. She had never complained.
So when Orlando went to fit her for her cast he asked if she wanted pink. She wanted brown which is her favorite color. He said the closest they have to that is Maroon like the Aggies. The girls know Daddy's favorite colors are maroon and white. She did say she wanted pink and then Mr Orlando fixed it up with a little Aggie spirit. They have won both their football games since then. : ) We are half way toward the month long healing process.
