On Thursday we made our way to the Lincoln Park Zoo.
The girls greeted the lions at the entrance.
We were excited to see the tiger right near the entrance. We saw some sea lions, giraffes and a few other animals. We really were looking forward to seeing polar bears and hippos - animals we don't have in Houston. Disappointingly there weren't out. Several animals weren't out. I guess we are spoiled by our awesome Houston Zoo. (if you are ever in Chicago, don't be fooled by the "free" Lincoln Park Zoo; it cost us $24 to park and we were only there for about 3 hours.)
After a nice nap - not in the car for the first time in four days, we had a yummy dinner with Aunt Sue, Uncle Chris, Samantha, Great Grandma June, and Uncle Gary. Grandma June brought the girls fancy hats to wear! The girls love being silly!
And they love baby toys. Maddie didn't want to put this baby whale rattle down.
Uncle Gary and dog Jill just took everything in. Jill kinda had to hide from all the excitement! (once again evidence of horrible picture taking - none of Grandma June)
