We decided to head to Disney World. It is about 1 3/4 hours from Dad's house. Rather than load up all our stuff and get a hotel, when the girls got up at their usual 7am, we hopped in the car and headed to see Mickey Mouse and friends. Despite being off season, and arriving 20 minutes before opening we still had to wait on a second tram from the parking lot and make a mad dash as it appeared. Then we rode the monorail and we arrived at the most magical place in the world. As you can see it was a beautiful sunny day!
The castle itself was awesome! The girls had no idea what they were in for.
We started with my favorite, It's a Small World. It was wonderful!
There was so much to look at and both girls really enjoyed all the dancing children. (they didn't realize they were dolls),
We rode the carousal.
Fast passed the Dumbo ride!
Explored Tom Sawyer's Island, including a dark and spooky cave.
Enjoyed vanilla ice cream, dipped in chocolate mickey ears while waiting for the afternoon parade. (a side note - super glad we brought the strollers so the girls had a seat and to get from one area of the park to the next. Glad we brought the little cheap ones - easier to maneuver and find in stroller parking.)

We had a great spot - a little "L" in the road and we could see everything coming at us. Several characters came to say hi and shake hands!

We also happen to catch a show in front of the castle in the late afternoon - complete with Mickey, Minnie, and several Princesses and fireworks
On the way out we stopped for a potty break and Allie said good-bye to Minnie. Evidence of a terrific day!
